Donald C. Brace Foundation Provides Support Through $49,500 Gift
To Fund Teton Valley Hospital Lab Upgrades
Teton Valley Hospital Foundation recently acquired new laboratory equipment through the support of a charitable gift of $49,500 from the Donald C. Brace Foundation. The funding allowed the purchase of a chemistry analyzer for the Teton Valley Hospital laboratory. The contribution allowed an upgrade and replacement of an aging analyzer unit. The new chemistry analyzer has been installed, calibrated, and is currently serving the patients and healthcare team at Teton Valley Hospital. The Teton Valley Hospital lab is an essential component of providing safe, quality and effective health care for patients. Effective and speedy lab analysis is integral to many clinical decisions, often providing physicians, nurses and other health care providers with pivotal information for prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of illnesses. Donald C Brace Foundation’s gift is critical in supporting Teton Valley Hospital’s organizational needs and lab upgrade initiatives. Click here for the full article.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T MENTAL HEALTH
If you took a bad fall and broke your leg, would you wait and hope that it healed on its own? Would your family and friends suggest that "you need to tough it out; you'll feel fine in a few weeks?" We would hope the answer to those questions would be resoundingly "No." Yet many of us pay little attention to our mental health even though mental distress can be similar to taking a bad fall. We can't always heal ourselves, physcially or mentally, and ignoring the pain may result in more serious problems. The Board of Directors and staff of the Teton Valley Hospital Foundation urge everyone to show respect for mental health. Spread the word that professional counseling can be every bit as necessary as a re-set casted bone. Counseling is appropriate for people of all ages and from every walk of life. Our valley has subsidized resources available through the Teton Valley Mental Health Coalition, Family Safety Network, an local medical clinics. Click here for the full article.
